Education & Experience required:
Qualification: B E / B Tech or NTTF/ GTTC Tool and Die Making or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Minimum 10 to 12 years of experience.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficient in reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of systematic problem-solving techniques like 8D Analysis, RCA, and FMEA.
- Understanding of APQP methodology, AS9100 standards, and familiarity with PPAP requirements.
- Knowledge in SAP related activities like BOM, Routing preparation etc.
- Skill in estimating costs for new development parts & Cost breakdown.
Responsibilities:
- Engineering Drawings: Proficient in reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
- Component Development: Ability to independently develop components by collaborating with suppliers.
- New Product Development (NPD): Planning, executing, and delivering new product development projects.
- Machining: Proficient in deriving machining process requirements and sequences, with strong knowledge of CNC programming, tool selection, and process design.
- GD & T & Inspection methods: Excellent knowledge GD&T, Instrument selection & Inspection methods.
- Fixture & Gauge Design: Knowledge of fixture and gauge design preparation.
- SolidWorks: Hands-on experience in 3D modelling & Stage modelling using SolidWorks.
- NX-CAM & Hyper Mill: Hands-on experience in NC programming using NX -CAM & Hyper Mill software’s.
- Process documents Validation: Ensuring process documents (stage drawings, 3D models, control plans, process sheets, Work instructions) align with customer requirements and process controls.
- Special Processes: Good understanding of special processes such as Heat treatment, Plating, Anodizing, Vacuum Brazing, Induction Brazing, Conversion coating, Painting and Passivation.
- Supplier Management: Experience in supplier development, Follow ups, monitoring, auditing, and training.
- Customer Interaction: Experience managing customer relationships, internal/external communications.
- Material Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace and automotive materials and standards.
