Position Summary
The Junior HR Recruiter will support the HR and Talent Acquisition team in sourcing, screening , interview coordination and selection process as well as executing various HR tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and staffing needs.
- Post job openings on job boards, social media and internal portals; update job descriptions and adverts.
- Source candidates using multiple channels: job portals, LinkedIn, employee referrals, social media, campus drives (if applicable).
- Screen resumes/CVs to shortlist candidates for fit (skills, experience, cultural fit).
- Schedule and coordinate interviews (phone, video, face-to-face) with candidates and hiring managers.
- Assist with candidate communication: status updates, offer letters, joining formalities, background checks.
- Support onboarding processes: documentation, induction coordination, employee records setup.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HR database.
- Assist with various HR administrative tasks: attendance and leave tracking, employee queries, policy clarifications, engagement activities.
- Contribute to employer branding and talent-pipeline initiatives (job fairs, campus events, online campaigns).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws and recruitment best practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
- Experience: Typically, 2-4 years of work experience in HR Recruitment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and organising skills, high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HR tools/ATS.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professionalism.
- Basic knowledge of labour laws and HR practices (advantageous).
- Tech-savvy and social media comfortable (for sourcing).
Preferred / Advantageous
- Experience with high-volume hiring or specialized recruitment sectors.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter / Boolean search techniques.
- Prior internship in HR or staffing agency experience.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
