JUNIOR ENGINEER / ENGINEER – TOOLING

 Knowledge & Skills:

1. Study the specifications in detail, prepare 2D/3D sketches of Tools, Fixture & Gauges
2. Plan and execute manufacturing process in consultation with machine operators
3. Preparing and getting approvals for drawings inspection reports & design validation sheets
4. Updating Activity tracker Request Tracker, NDA Tracker, Supplier file Tracker, Touch Base of all other applicable department trackers and check sheets.
5. Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review.
6. Establish cost estimates of production processes and tooling costs and review alternatives or put forward recommendations for improvement
7. Assess cost effectiveness of Tools, Gauges & Fixtures and track actual costs relative to budget and report status on a regular basis to ensure costs are in line with forecasts
8. Preparation of Tooling Budget, CIP and mistake proof story
9. Adopt a flexible approach to workload and assume now responsibilities where appropriate.
10. Maintenance of quality System in applicable area, including closure of Non-conformance within agreed dates.
11. Maintain all QMS & IMS Documents of department (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 & AS9100)
12. Identify Critical TGF & list the risk Mitigation plan to make sure minimal down time
13. Sending enquiry and Ensure supplier quotations meet should cost estimates and Negotiate prices with 13 suppliers.
14. Preparing of Purchase Indent, approval getting till PO release follow-up
15. Identify resource constraints and escalate any Technical or administrative road blocks to the TL/HOD.
16. Participate in Department Sunrise Meeting & Communicate regularly with all Team members both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication conceding Tooling issues
17. Material code creation request & maintain Document management system(DMS)
18. Clearing Tooling GRN & Tooling bill statement sheet
19. Ensure safety in Tool room & safe work practices
20. Identify Continuous Improvement projects in the Department & facilitate to complete on time
21. Supplier followup and Ensure on time completion of material in warding, Incoming Inspection for the thots & fixtures
22. Uploading of supplier Docs, like NDA, SRF, OS Certificates in Portal & DMS
23. Review and ensure all the Tooling activities are completed on before releasing of Bill of Tools.
24. Work towards achieving the Company Goals & Adhere to Company/ HR policies & Ethics
25. Proactively contributes to the team and actively committed to teams development
26. Take ownership of projects, plan milestones, timelines, budgets, resources and identify potential risks to deliver engineering aspects within agreed completion dates
27. Be proactive regarding task completion and periodically advise wider team on project status, timing, resources, issues, and ability to deliver on-time with excellence

Responsibilities: 

1. Prepare 2d/3d models and plan manufacturing activities.

3. Responsible for Providing the Tools, Gauges & Fixtures on Time.
4. Maintaining all reports and records like Trackers, review reports, QMS & IMS documents.
5. Identifying and implementing of CIP’s and MP’s in line

7. TGF Request Tracker updation
8. BOT Check sheet.
9. Activity Tracker and supplier records.
10. Touch Base and ERP Control.
11. Closing of GRN.
