Tooling Engineer – Production

Education & Experience required:                                          

Qualification: Diploma/BE or B. Tech – Mechanical Engineering or Tool and Die Making.

Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in Machine shop in Tooling related activities.

Knowledge & Skills:

1. Knowledge about CNC machining process (Turning & Milling)
2. Knowledge of SAP
3. Expertise in cost reduction.
4. Able to read the mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities:

1. Exposure about cutting tools of Turning, Milling.
2. Working in SAP environment.
3. Calculating tool cost/component and maintaining within the budget.
4. Tool life monitoring and calculating tool cost/component.
5. Maintaining stock of consumables and Durable Tools like inserts, holders, gauges & fixtures.
6. Tool cost reduction by tool standardization, resourcing etc.,
7. Maintaining the cutting tools expenses within the budget.
8. Ensuring no machine stoppage due to tools not available.
