We have won from VSSC (ISRO) a contract for Electro Mechanical Actuators used in thrust vector control application of their satellite launch vehicles, for the PSLV, GSLV, GSLVMk3 missions. We would be producing a range of linear and rotary actuators — and sensors — for these prestigious programmes.
We have been a 100% export unit since 1997, exporting to global leaders in Europe and America, so this break opens a sweet passage into the Indian market for us. Two other developments are clearing the domestic space for Hical — the approval of our solenoids at HAL India (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) for the Tejas aircraft, and a partnership with CMERI India (Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute) for solenoids for the Saras aircraft.
These wins in our home market further strengthen our efforts to be a globally respected producer of electromechanical/electromagnetic parts and systems, for the most challenging applications.
